The Legal History Project (LHP) offers free membership to anyone interested in more than casual use of this site. Registration is simple and permits the user to do the following:

• Hold full LHP Forum membership. Registered users can choose an alias on the LHP Forum, and can also be granted access to restricted fora. Unregistered users can post only as guests, and cannot hold special access privileges.
  
  
• Receive the LHP Newsletter. Registered users can opt to receive the LHP Newsletter, an occasional (usually bi-monthly) e-mail publication that alerts readers to new site features and content, as well as to news and announcements from the legal history field worldwide.
  
  
• Enter and update Calendar items. The LHP Calendar is open for public viewing, but only registered users may post their own entries or update existing ones.
